Mother's Day altered Canvas

Hello, thanks for joining me today! Tomorrow is Mother's Day and although I already mailed my cards and gifts out to my mom and MIL , I really wanted to play along with this week's challenge over at Cooking with Cricut #85 - Mother's Day gift ideas.

I strated off by using a template from The Crafter's Workshop called Wood Grain ,which I spritzed with Glimmer Mist ( Wheat Beer) to get a gorgeous custom background for my canvas ( 9"X 9" size).
I used my cartridge Phrases for the sentiment and for the bracket photo mat . To get the glossy for the word " Mother's " , I covered it with CTMH liquid glass. I also used Art Philosophy for the various size flowers ( I used up scraps of polka dot papers for them)and the rhinestone jewels are from my stash- it was one larger flourish which I just cut to get  the two  seperate pieces.

Here's a closeup of the phrase and flowers  --- I adhered them to the canvas with my hotglue gun so they would stick forever!!!!! Every glue dot I've ever tried has come undone eventually , so I pulll out my glue gun for these types of projects.

So, that's my project done just in time for Mother's Day !!!

Thanks for checking out my blog today--- hope you have a great Mother's Day!!
