My Digital Studio layouts

I still haven't fully unpacked all my stamping/scrapbooking  supplies, but I wanted to make a few layouts , so I  played around with MDS and here's what I came up with.
I used a pic of the dory on the wharf as a background.... I reduced the opacity until it was a subtle background. Because I wanted to keep the focal point on the bright photo of my daughter holding a starfish but at the ssame timme I wanted to draw the viewer's eye to the background pic, so I kept the joournaling to a minimal and added a bold title .
Again, I let the pics remain the focal point, with just a small stamp from the Travellers stamp set added for a little touch to the page.

One of my favorite features about the  My Digital Studio program is that it lets me take any of my digital pics and turn them into a background for my scrap layouts. How awesome is that!!!! Easy ,too! This page took just a few minutes to make, and I love the results!
I tend to make very linear pages whenever I digiscrap... it's the only way I can crop straight lines!!! LOL
It's been such a long time since I posted !!! What a crazy time for us! The movers came on the 21st ( a day later than scheduled) and we spent a week living in our travel trailer before we began our journey across Canada. We left Edmonton on Canada Day and six days later we crossed over on the ferry to Newfoundland..... over 5000 km later!!! The kids were amazing .... they were awesome during those lond days of driving. We were on the road for up to 12-13 hours a day!!! But we made it!!! We now call Codroy Valley home !
