May all your dreams come true...

Happy Friday!! Today I have a really girlie card to share with you. I found this digi stamp on Pinterest and even though I've had it for some time , I only just got around to coloring it with my Copic markers.

I created a custom shape for the digi image and matching mat with my Silhouette , as well as for the oval for the sentiment. Sorry, I can't remember which markers I used -I colored this sweet girl in a couple of weeks ago and forgot to write down which shades I used . I left the inside blank because I'm thinking that this card can used for a birthday , good luck or even a thinking of you card. The color scheme kinda reminded me a bit of Holly Hobby!!!

I'm entering this over at Cut It Up! for their Anything Goes challenge#41 in honor of National Crafting month - March, of course!!!

You still have a few days left of this month , so go and create something and celebrate this  crafting month!!!

Thanks for stopping by today --- hope your weekend is awesome!!

By the sea layout

Hi! Spring is just a week or so away and yet when I look out my window I see no signs of its arrival.... just lots and lots of snow!!! Well, at least all this cold weather has given me plenty of to tackle my stacks of photos just waiting to be scrapped! I don't often scrapbook chronologically- I just grab a photo that catches my eye and start from there. Lately, I've been starting with my layout and then I find the pic to go with it!!! Anyhoo...  I have quite a few great photos of our trip to Cape Spear ( the most easterly point in North America) to get in a that I still want to get in a layout. Here's one completed........

I started off with some printed kraft cardstock and then proceeded to add layers. I used a chicken wire stencil and a gel medium ( to the right side of photo, and on top) and then a gesso-d faded dots stencil on the left , some ink, some stamping , some more inked stencil and then on to the next layers. I had this cheesecloth in my stash that I added to the bottom. The tags were cut out of  kraft cardstock and printed cs and inked with a CTMH stamp set called Perfect Day... I used images from that set for the quote on the small tag , behind the photo and on the quote on the top. I tried a fishermen's knot ... hmm, don't think that will be my calling!! LOL  The anchor was cut from a SVG attic file on my Silhouette machine multiple times so that it looked like chipboard and then I inked the edges. I found a beautiful quote online... made it on my Silhouette , printed it and then cut a custom mat around it and to finish it off I stamped a boat image from the Perfect Day set in Twilight ink. A few buttons , some twine for the anchor and I'm done!!!

Yay... another layout finished!!!
Thanks for stopping by today.... have a great day!!!

Shamrock table runner and Leprechaun hat

Thank you to Cut It Up! for choosing my table runner as one of their top 3 picks! I'm honored!!!

I'm back with a St Patrick's day project, well actually two, to share with you. I wanted to make a table runner for my dining room table that I could leave out for the month of March.

I found this shamrock cluster in the Silhouette store . I fused it to a light hold Heat N Bond and then cut it out on my machine. Once I heat set it to the runner , I sewed around the shamrocks to keep them in place. Really, this was such a simple project.
Then I got to thinking.... what would look neat on this runner??? So , I went back to my purchased files and found this really cool top hat, which I made into a leprechaun's hat. I used the top hat from SVG Attic's Mad Tea Party cutfiles.

I didn't have enough Patty's day print papers to make the hat, so  I dug through my fabric stash and found this dark green material. I cut the hat out of dark green cardstock and then fused the fabric ( again, with a light hold Heat N Bond)  directly to the cardstock. I t worked amazing!!!! Plus it gave the hat a more realistic look and feel to it!! A few feathers, a green flower and of course, a lucky shamrock and this hat is complete!!!The Luck of the Irish phrase is also from Silhouette.

I'm entering these projects over at Cut It Up for their Green for St. Patrick's  Day or Spring challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.... hope your day is fabulous!!

Winter Banner

Hi all! It maybe be only 15 days till spring but right now its look like winter is just beginning! I'm so ready for warmer days but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer!! Thankfully, there are so many fun winter projects out there for inspiration. I saw a few really cute winter banners on Pinterest and decided that I needed to make my own.

I used my Cricut for the banner shapes and the images were from the Artbooking and Art Philosophy  cartridges. The letters were some old chipboard ones I covered with some of the dsp from Stampin' Up! I love the blue, white and silver colors...what do you think??

I also made this welcome wall hanging .....

I found a free snowman applique online and imported it to my Silhouette and then just cut it out and appliqued it together!! The border is Newfoundland tartan fabric , so I may have to make one of these for my SIL who lives across the country! The felt snowflakes on the dowel actually wine glass charms, but they are better used here!!!

Anyway, those are a few of my winter projects.... I hope to be doing some spring ones soon!
Thanks for stopping by.... have a great day!!
