I found some pics!!!!!

I decided to search my flashdrives to see if I still had some pics on them and I did!!!! Yippee!!! So, of course I quickly did celebrate a couple of digi pages to my find!!!

I used the flower center stamp from the Sweet Pea digi collection to "stamp" a background on my textured cardstock..... isn't it adorable???!!  Here's another quick layout....

I recently lost all my digital photo files , programs and a whole bunch of other stuff that I had stored on an external hard drive. I thought I was protected from viruses and other computer problems, but my external hard drive got damaged and was not repairable and I found out that it could cost up to a thousand dollars to recover the files!!! I was in near tears as I thought about all the family vacation photos, holidays, birthdays and school trips that I've lost! I'm already  pretty emotional these days as our family has been so busy packing and preparing to move across country back to my hometown. We've been in Edmonton for 15 years and this is the only home that our kids have ever known. It will be hard to say goodbye to our family and friends , but in July a new journey begins for our family!
Even though I lost all my programs on my hard drive, I still was able to reload My Digital Studio onto my laptop ( big smiles!!!) and I even got all my digital downloads re-installed!! Whoo-Hoo!!!  So, while I am busy packing, trying to find lost photos , and generally losing my sanity.... I have managed to find some free time to pkay with my MDS. Here's a layout I made and one day I hope to add a pic!!! LOL

Keeping it simple---- Inspired By Nature

Here`s another card we made at our last stampcamp.... very neat and simple.
Inspired By Nature is one of my favorite sets..... I love it`s elegant simplicity. I though we would use some of the returning In-Colours for this one , River Rock. The picture doesn`t show the colour that well , but the cardbase and stenciled oval are done in River Rock and the flowers are Dusty Durango and Chocolate Chip.
How many more days `till it`s officially summer......... well today it sure feels like it has arrived! I love all the tropical flowers in the new DSP.The Cheers to You stamp set coordinates beautifully with these fun papers!!

Summer Mini----- Sweet Scoops , DSP & Birthday Block

I finally found a tutorial on how to make a side-step card!!!! Andrea Walford `s tutorial made making this card a breeze!!! Thanks, Andrea!
The  summer mini is packed full of so many great products -- I can`t pick a favorite!!! But, I do love the Tropical Party DSP ..... all those bright colours!!!! Sweet Scoops is a stamp set that I will play around with lots!!! hye Birthday Block allows me to be verastile in my creativity.... I kept it fun and playful for this sweet card!

King Of The Grill - summer mini

I just love this stamp set from the new mini! I cased the " burnt" edges on the card from the super talented Tami White... what a fun touch to this card!! I recycled a pop can for the metal accent and ran it through my BigShot and to ensure that the sentiment didn't rub off, I used Stazon .
