Pinterest inspired card

Good mornning! How was your weekend? Mine was restful ... for a change ; isn't it  amazing what two days of R and R will do for the body and soul! It For the past month or so my internet has been on the fritz!!! I live in a small community and have satelitte service for my internet and with all this yucky winter storms , it hasn't worked very well- even now it's a bit sketchy at times!!!  But I managed to spend some quality time browsing Pinterest .... my fav place to find just about anything on the web these days!!! Mostly I pin things with grand plans of actually doing (someday....) , and every once in awhile I actually do make something ,like this card....

I tweaked my card so that instead of a bird and fence ( to see the original card by Barabara Anders click here)  , I made a gate and a gradening themed card , all made using the Freshly Picked cartridge. I rarely used this cartridge but it has some really cute spring images like the boots and flower pot that I cut super tiny ( boots -1.5"  and flower pot -1). The clouds were made with the Artiste cartridge ( of course!!!), and I just trimmed them a little on the bottom. The sentiment , inked with CTMH Cocoa ink,is from Gina K Stamps called Fresh Start .The pretty patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Clementine collection.

Do you Pin? If so, are you are pinner or do you actually make something that you've found?

Thanks for visiting my blog today... have a great one!!

Tiddly Inks digi stamping and Mojo Monday 276

Hello crafty friends!
I've been having blogger issues lately - I couldn't upload any pics from computer to my blog!!! UGH!!! I think I have the problem is solved ( many frustrating hours later!!!!!)  While I missed the deadline on some of my fav challenge blogs , I still have time to play along with this week's Mojo Monday. Here's this week sketch by the talented Carole Burrage

I used a Tiddly Inks digi image for my card......

I think this image is called Hang In There , but I'm not 100% sure!!!
I used the following Copics markers for her:
B45 B95 B21 - Jeans
CTMH Creme Brulee dark/light alcohol ink markers - hair
E33 E23 E 17 - tree branch
CTMH Sweet Leaf - leaves
BV 000 BV02 BV11 BV08- Tshirt
E000 E21- skin

The outside sentiment is from Verve's Celebrating You set

The inside greeting is from Gina K Stamps called Friends inked in SU's Rich Razzleberry. The cardstock is from Stampin" Up! ( Rich Razzleberry , Soft Suede and Crumb Cake). The large border punch is from EK Success. The patterned ppers are from a Basic Grey  6X6 pad called What's UP.
I love these paper pads - very little paper wasteage!!!!Plus I can get a whole bunch of different styles super cheap! I get most of my papers at Two Peas In A Bucket. Love that place!!!!

Anyway... that's my Mojo  card! Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you card : Friday Mashup challenge #77

Happy Monday! This weekend   rained and rained and... well, you get the picture! The kids were stuck inside and when Monday morning rolled around I was happy to send them off to school!! All that rain gave me an excuse to stay inside and check out some challenge blogs. This week the DT at Friday Mashup gave us a prompt about those warm days of fall.....

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

  1. Make a "Indian Summer" themed project.
  2. Or Make a project with any three colors from "Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Indian Summer Themed project with the color combo".

What a great photo for inspiration! I loved all those colors in the trees  so I used a "fall" tree
for my card. Here's what I made for this chalenge....

The Branch Out set from Stampin' Up! makes the perfect fall card ... or any season since it has leaves ( which can be spring or fall) and snowflakes, too!  I used  Momento ink ( Cantaloupe) and CTMH ink (Sunset) for my leaves . The dp is from SU and I think it just may have all the colors for the Mashup in it! The sentiment is from  a Gina K stamp set called All Occasions Tags ... the tag stamp is from that set, too. I cut the scallop circles ( Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso)  with my Cricut and Elegant Edges cartridge at 3 1/4 iches. The woodgrain embossing was made with a Tim Holtz folder. The cardbase was made with my Cricut ( Art Philosophy).

So there's my Mashup card... hope you've enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by today!
