More Vintage CHristmas - Christmas Collage

This stamp is so beautiful; I`ve seen so many gorgeous creations made with it! For this card I inked the stamp in Ruby Red on Crumb Ckae background. I stamped it again in Always Artichoke and cut out just the wreath part and the bells and sentiment are from Bells and Boughs in the new hoilday mini. A few red rhinestones and Glimmer spray over the entire card and, Viola!, it`s finished!

Northern Flurries embossed card

It seems that all my Christmas cards lately have been made with the traditional shades of red and green. For this card I decided to use Marina Mist ( such a pretty shade of blue) with a Confetti White background. The little bit of Cherry Cobbler adds a nice splash of color to this very simple card. Hope you enjoy!!!

Haunted House

So last month I posted a pic of a vintage Halloween card which I really liked but then I redid the card using Stampin' Up! waffle paper instead of ribbon and I used Basic Black craft ink for the haunted house image rather than the classic pad. The image was much more bolder, especially after I Smooched the image. I also cahnged the DSP in the background with new Spooky DSP.

Mini Monster Teachers' Halloween gift

Again, using the  MinI Monsters cartridge, I made a simple little gift for my son's teacher. I saw an idea similar to this ( sorry I don't remember the site) and I loved it! I taped treats to toothpicks and stuck them in a styrofoam cup , hidden underneath my own basket stuffing. The little monsters were so much fun to make , I made a whole bunch to use for treat containers for my son's class. ( See pervious post for more details).

Mini Monsters Trick -Or-Treat containers

Earlier this week I posted a  Halloween project I planned for my son's class. The first one I made was mainly from stamped images , but I really wanted to use my Mini Monsters cartridge, so I changed the project a bit. Those little monsters are so cute!! I just love them!

Give A Hoot Hallowween Costume

So I use my Cricut for cards, scarppages ( of course) and even for gifts and home decor so why not for a costume? Yes, a costume!
How eco-friendly is this costume that my daughter thought of?? We simply painted a box and glued some recycling to the inside . For the images on the outside, well that's where my Cricut came in handy! I recently purchased Give A Hoot cartridge and it's earth friendly images and phrases are perfect for this costume!!!

Echoes Of Kindness envelope card

I've made this style before as a gift card holder, but I thought I'd try it as a card this time. I adhered the inside layer inside the top of the envelope, so when you open the envelope , the inside stays attached.
Fraying the ribbon is such a trendy technique right now and it works for so many card styles!
I made this card using the  Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.

Owl 2-step punch/ Trifold Birthday card

I still have a stash of the Sweet Pea DSP from SU! spring mini, and even though I love it so much, I also know that it just gotta use it!!! So, here's a simple tri-fold card . If you haven't made a tri-fold card before it's super simple!! Check out the resources section @ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ for a tutorial.
The owl punch is so much fun to use! I can think of so many uses for this cute little punch!
Of course, I had to use Taken With Teal ( retired color) , cause I love it so much!! :-)  The sentiment inside is non-SU! but it makes me smile so here it is!!!
Happy Stampin!

Organic Outlines - Smooch Watercolor

I bought Organic Outlines thinking I would use it all the time but ,sadly, I hardly ever use it. I still love it , it just seems like I can never find the perfect occasion for it. When a friend asked to make a wedding card , I knew that this was the stamp set for it!!
Instead of spritzing water on the inked stamp for a watercolor effect Ispritzed a little white shimmer Smooch Spray. The effect was still soft , with just a hint of  shimmer, very elegant. I love the Greenhouse Gala DSP , and Baja Breeze is one of my all-time favorite colors! Kudos to Stampin' Up! for bringing it back ( I just hope thet un-retire my absolute fav, Taken With Teal!!!). The hodgepodge hardware ( Styled Silver) really adds an elegant touch to this simple card.
Hope youy enjoy. Happy Stamping!

Cricut Christmas: " Winter Frolic" ornament card

I totally cased this card from the Winter Frolic pamphlet! Just changed the card size and patterned paper!

Altered Projects : Trick Or Treat loot bags "Scary Skeleton"

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, we've been renovating ( never ending task it seems) and everything seems to be always coated in a thick layer of dust!!! But I did make some cards and even an altered treat container , which I still need to make more for my son's class! Thank goodness he has such a small class , just 8, can you believe that!!!
These cute little treat holders will be filled with yummy goodies, stickers, and other Halloween surprises I can find!

They are so easy to make, just covered a Second Cup hot chocolate ( white hot chocolate is my fav!! YUM!!) with last years' DSP . I then embossed Basic Black cs with SU! new  spider web embossing folder and adhered a border ( Old Olive ) which I made with the eyelet border punch. I diecut two Topnote shapes, one from Whisper White and the other from Old Olive. The Old Olive topnote is embossed with a Tim Holtz folder and trimmed to overlap over the stamped white topnote. After I stamped the skeleton , I doodled on the edge of the die cause I thought it was a little too plain for me!
The inked and embossed the the Decorative Label punch and inked the edges and finished it off with a stamped sentiment ( Modern Label punch).

Now I just have 7 more to make before Friday!!!
