House Of Haunts

Okay, I think I'm addicted to vintage style cards!!! Stampin' Up! makes it so easy with all their cool accents, like Smooch and vintage inspired papers. The stamped image was supposed to be bolder, but I sprayed  Smooch first and the image did not come out as planned, but I liked the result. Very vintage!

More buttons on my cards! " Gel-A-Tins stamps"

I always seemed to have a ton of scraps of paper, ribbons and even ribbon scattered all over my workspace! I'm really gonna try and use them as much as possible..... this card is made from leftovers from other projects , with the exception of the hemp thread and buttons. Did I mention that I love to use buttons on my projects?? I think these buttons are Fancy Pants , which I bought years ago! Still love them!!!

Thanks for looking!

Iced Christmas tree----- Lovely As A Tree /Christmas Greetings sets

This is a new twist on a card that I made in a stamping group I used to belong to. I used the new fabric from the mini as a ribbon accent , and of course , the satin ribbon adds just the right amount of color. For the tree , I covered the tree with crystal efeects and sprinkled micro beads for that iced look.

Mini Monsters and Cindy Loo cartridges cards

Just a couple more cards I made this morning....

Cricut "Cindy Loo" cartridge card

I just adore the Cindy Loo cartridge from Cricut.....  I think some pretty darn cute scrappages and cards will be in my future!!! :-)
Isn't this owl just adorable? She pairs nicely with some of my retired Stampin'Up! DSP ( I have sooo much , I gotta start using it!!!)

Another fun card I made using up a stash of buttons I bought ages ago and  some earth friendly patterned paper ( Green Stack) from Die Cuts With a View. Sentiment is from SU! Fundamental Phrases set.

Thanks for viewing! Happy crafting!

A tribute to my grandparents

My grandfather recently turned 101 a few weeks ago  and although my garndmother passed over 20 years, I still miss her deeply. My aunt has a collection of old photographs of my grandparents, so I copied several and decided that MDS was the perfect medium to preserve those precious pics. We think this photo was taken when my grandparents were in their late 40's , more than sixty years ago. I plan on scrapping more of the old photos soon.

mini notepad holder

I made this little notepad holder in a jiffy! Just used my pad of paper as a guideline for measurements for the cover and the rest kinda fell in place. It's really that simple when Stampin'Up! has so many coordinating elements!

Oops! You can't see all of the inside..... just a bit of the pen holder is cropped!

More birthday cards

It seems like whenever I need a birthday card I never have one made, so I made a few, just in case....
I recently saw this technique of stamping and then embossing and really loved it so I had to try it out!!! Oh so simple, yet the results are fabulous! I think I'll make severla of these cards in different colour schemes, just in case!

My pic didn't turn out super great ... you can hardly see the details like the embossed strip behind the butterfly and the butterfy has an embossed butterfly ( just used a transparency sheet and ran it through em-folder and die) . I used retired DSP from the spring mini , but most any of the new DSP would work nicely for this card.

Can you tell I'm loving my Stampin' Up! embossing folders????!!!!  They're super easy to use and they turn a simple piece of DSP into a beautiful cardbase...... yup, I love 'em!!!

Stampin' Up! Holiday mini stamp sets ......Christmas cards

I watercolored the poinsetta and boughs but when I sprayed them with Smooch , the color faded! (ugh!!!) Oh well, I still like this one!!! :-)

Vintage cards are not really my thing but I love the background stamp from the new mini . I just added a little smooch for some glam and sponged  and distressed the edges for that antique feel.
You can't really see but the background is embossed with a Sizzix folder ( non-SU!) and sprayed with a Glimmer Mist ( gold , I think).

A bunch of simple cards!

A simple birthday card using a Level 1 hostess stamp set and the BigShot embossing folders .
I got this folder at a local craft store and I wasn't sure what I would do with it , but then I added a little bling and stamped a greeting for the center  and now I love it!!!
