Birthday card and Gift bag

Hi all! I'm back! My internet connection was seriuosly messed up these past few weeks because of all the stormy weather we've been having!!! Ah, but now the sun is shining and my internet is glitch -free ( for now!!) and I can start sharing some projects again!!! Yup, life is good!!!

Recently, we celebrated a friend's bday - I had some jewelery for her so I wanted so pretty packaging for it. I pulled out some pretty papers and my Cricut and started.... here's what I made:

Aren\t these so pretty and girly??? I love the papers in the Recollections " Today Tomorrow Forever" collection. I hardly ever use an entire paper pad up, but this one is disappearing quickly!

This set has so many fab patterns .... definitely money well spent!!

I used my Cricut to create the label for the cardfront and stamped a Verve greeting with CTMH's Juniper ink, which happens to be a perfect match for the polka dot paper ... I love it when that happens!!! The flower is from Wild Orchard crafts and the ribbon was purchased at a local craft store.

Here's the lil' gift bag ( cut  with Artiste cart) - it's the perfect size for small jewelery, giftcards or even a yummy treat. I added a  rolled flower ( made with Art Philosophy) I sponged the tisuue paper in CTMH Sorbet ink and stamped 'celebrate" all over and then ran it through a hand held embosser .... trust me , it's so cute!!! The flourish behind the flower is a die from Memory Box and the polka dot ribbon is old SU! stuff.

This was a quick project , and now that my mojo is back , I'm off to create!!!
Thanks for stopping by today.... enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Wild Card 2 cards

Hello! Ever since I saw  the Wild Card 2 cartridge, I wanted it. I didn't see much in the way of projects but it had to be as good as the first one, right?? Wrong!! So, for months this cartridge just sat on a shelf collecring dust. But then , since I owned it, I figured I may as well use it. I actually loike this cart!! Check out what I've made so far:

This wineglass card is quite a bit larger than I normally make- it's  9.5". I needed to give it a few extra details to make it pop.... so I added some Stickles to the orange slice and a little paperglaze for the drink.
The funky paper is some really old American Crafts stash that I got super cheap! The "cheers " is from SU Cheers To You set.

Here's the inside......

The "wine gets better with age.." stamp is from Art Impressions- they have such a quirky girlfriends line that I just love!!! I think of my BFF every time I ink up one of these fun stamps!!! The happy bday stamp is from CTMH. All cardstock is from CTMH,too.

I made these fun retro phone cards in fun colors of papers that were in my stash. They are cut at 4.5" and have matching envelopes, complete with a plaid phone reciever on them!

So despite my reservations about WC2, I'm really happy with it now and I know it's gonna get used more often ! So, go grab that item that you weren't too sure about and start creating!!!

Thanks for stopping by today... have a great day!!

Scrappin' the winter away!

Hello! As you can tell from my post title, I'm escaping winter in my craftroom, get a few more pages completed. We are in the middle of yet another winter storm ( these past two weeks we have had so much snow -then rain-then snow!!! Plus super high winds!!!). I 'm glad I don't have to be out in this terrible weather - and what better reason do I need to hide away in my cozy craftroom???

Here's the pages I've got finished so far......

This page uses just about a little bit of everything .... buttons, doilies, K&Co embellishments, flowers, brads, journalling tags and a Hiedi Swapp cutfile ( word "enjoy"). The wood grain paper and the damask strip are from a Recollections 12X12 paper pad. There's so much in this paper collection - I may run out of uses for it!!!

I loved this printed kraft cardstock  and I really didn't want to cover it up. I saw a similar layout on Pinterest that I wanted to case... with a few of my own touches. I used some stamps for the mini banners on the top and the "hello life" is a CTMH stamp, inked in Honey. The stickers are also from CTMH- they are neutral colored and can be painted or inked , but I like them just the way they are. I machine stitched then to the paper .... oh, I love that technique!!! Not only does it ensure my staickers stay on ( they always seem to fall off!!!) , but it looks pretty cool too!! The strips of paper are all leftovers that I  trimmed and inked with CTMH Cocoa ink.

Finally, this layout started off as something else entirely, but then I started pulling out pics and I couldn't find any that suited it! So I printed my own custom size pics with my HP printer - I think these are all 3X3 , whichI trimmed to fit inside these neat little Studio Calico polaroid frames. The title is made with Thickers. I stamped some travel images from CTMH 's  Cruisin' Workshop.
The circles double-sided paper is old,old American Crafts... I still love all  those bold pops of color !!!

Okay, I really don't mind all this yucky weather... if I can keep scrappin'!!!

Thanks for stopping by today..... have a great rest of your day!!

"Love You" Mojo card

Hi everyone! This past week I had great plans to blog at least every other day but then this winter weather just wouldn't cooperate!!! Lots of snow, wind and kids being home = no time to stamp!!! I really liked this weeks' sketch over at Mojo Monday , so I made some time to play along.
Here's the sketch.....

I played around with the sketch a little ... here's what I came up with;

The heart was a cutfile I bought at the Silhouette online store. It's cut with a shimmery cardstock which looks a litlle washed out in this pic but is quite nice in person. The papers are from Basic Grey's Paper Cottage line. I stamped a sentiment from Verve's Swirling Hearts set.

Here's a look at the inside :

I used another Verve stamp set for the inside called Text Objects. Can you see the stitched heart behind the greeting? It stands out better in RL , but here I can barely see it!

Well, I didn't achieve my stamping goals this week but at least I managed to finish one card!!! Yay!!!
Thanks for stopping by.... have a great day!!

Simple birthday card

Hi! I have a quick card to share today. I just made it .... no challenges, no reason , just because! Sometimes it's nice just to make something, isn't it??

This was made using mainly scraps leftover from a previous project. I was about to sort the papers ,but then I found this tag ( it actually has a snowman stamped on the other side!!) and just started creating. The card is cut out from Art Philosophy .... the inside didn't have the scallops so I used a small circle punch to get the same edge as the outside. Lots of stuff from my stash used here.... the ribbon, button,cardstock... yup, it's all geeting good use here!!!

Here's the inside, with a Fiskars birthday greeting stamped inside.More scraps of paper for the banner and a Soft Suede square for the greeting mat. Super easy.... just what I need right now!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.... have a great day!
