So this week, I'm playing around with my creative style. With so many fabulous cards being posted every week, I thought I'd break out of my comfort zone a little and try something different. Here's what I made this week.....
With the exception of the sentiment , there is absolutely no stamping on this card!!! The tags are all from My Mind's Eye collection and I cut the holly leaf from my Season's Of Joy cartridge, and the red background die is cut from the Cindy Loo cart. The doilie is from the dollar store and you probably can't tell, but it's all shimmery 'cause I Glimmer Misted it! I inked the tags and card layer in River Rock ink from Stampin' Up! ( also card layer).
So now I have another card for my Christmas card list this year!!!! Yay!!!
Have yourself a super fantastic weekend!!!!
Until next time..... happy crafting!!!
Bravo! You have already made your card for this week's JB challenge (my fave challenge too.) Your card is terrific!!! Funny you mentioned only the sentiment is stamped; I used to notice when people made a card with no stamping. Now I don't even think about whether or not I stamped or not....I'm just creating...
ReplyDeleteI love the collage elements of your card. It gives it a Lauren-esque look, and I am a huge fan of Lauren's cards :)
Candy + cricut + JB = AWESOME!
A big woot woot to you for trying a vintage collage design ... it is absolutely gorgeous ... I agree with June ... you channeled a bit of Lauren in your design, which is always a good thing ... thanks so much for joining our jingle belles fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!!! It's easy to be inspired when you see all the awesome creations at JB each week!!!

ReplyDeleteoh wow! waht a ♥FAB♥ version of "the holly and the ivy" prompt! as usual, i am LOVING the "cricutty" bits and especially the way you combine them so organically with other products. the sentiment is brilliant, also! love it! ♥
ReplyDeleteVery fun card! I'm still stumbling around the getting-lots-of-layers-to-look-right thing... Looks like you've mastered it, though!
